Gilmer senior Carter Jones had four hits in the Bobcats’ two games versus Southeast Whitfield last week. He was the winning pitcher in Gilmer’s 4-0 victory over the Raiders.

The Gilmer High trio of sophomore Jackson McVey, freshman Keegen Bryant and junior Ryder Wofford combined to score 70 points in the first round of the Class 3A state basketball tournament last Wednesday versus Hart County. McVey and Wofford each tallied 24 points and Bryant finished with 22.

Rafael and Jacinto are seniors and finished the season with respective records of 45-3 and 42-3. Schiesser posted a 47-1 record on the season and secured four wins over nationally-ranked opponents.
