Gilmer High golfers were back on the course at Bent Tree.
GHS made its way south for the three-team, nine-hole event last Tuesday to face host Pickens and Sonoraville.
The Gilmer Lady Cats finished second behind Pickens, 155-175, and Sonoraville was third (180). The Bobcats needed 212 strokes, and they were third behind first-place Sonoraville (157) and runner-up Pickens (182).
Anna Waddell was the Lady Cats’ No. 1 golfer on the day and shot a 52. Allie Mayo finished with a 60, both Maddie Wright and Madison Stanley posted a 63, and Arielle Smith had a score of 70.
The Bobcats were led by Grant Ballew (48), while Rhett McGregor (53), Lucas Janssen (55) and Hershel Defoor (56) made up Gilmer’s top four. Caden Stover shot a 57 and was followed by teammates Connor Wimpey (58) and Cole Powell (64).
