Gilmer High senior Christian Sumner shoots a three pointer and scored seven straight points in the fourth quarter last Saturday to help the Bobcats defeat West Hall.
Gilmer junior Lucy Ray scored 23 points and collected five rebounds in the Lady Cats’ win over West Hall last Saturday.
Junior Carson Farist (above) and senior Hannah Mayo (below) both earned wins last Saturday to help Gilmer High qualify for the boys and girls Class 3A state duals. Farist recently eclipsed 100 wins, and his career record at GHS currently stands at 103-7.
From left are Gilmer High School swimmers Larz Fowler, Law Lykins, Jacob Kucera and Ian Berry who qualified for the state meet in the 400-yard freestyle relay at last Saturday’s Water Warrior Invitational. The Bobcats have also qualified for the 200 free relay, and Lykins has achieved state qualifying times in the 50 and 100 freestyle, as well as the 100-yard butterfly.

Lady Cat eighth graders Jaylee McDaniel (21) and Kenley Thompson get in position to rebound versus the Indians, and Thompson was the top scorer with seven points.
