Mrs. Lena Mae Rogers Watkins, 75, of Ellijay, died Monday, May 18, 2020. She was born Dec. 8, 1944, in Gilmer County, to the late John and Frances Garner Rogers. She was a laundromat manager and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Mary Glenn Farist Chadwick

Mrs. Mary Glenn Farist Chadwick, 96, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, May 12, 2020. She was born April 19, 1924, in Gilmer County, to the late Tandy Preston and Ida Mae Pritchett Farist. She worked in the textile industry, was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Patrick O. Daly Jr.

Mr. Patrick O. Daly Jr., 67, of Ellijay, died Thursday, May 14, 2020. He was born Dec. 19, 1952, in Gilmer County, to the late Patrick O. and Ruby Webb Daly.  He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1970, was self-employed as an automobile detailer and was of the Baptist faith.

Michael Thomas ‘Mike’ Bailey

Mr. Michael Thomas “Mike” Bailey, 65, of Ellijay, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 12, 2020, at his home.  He was born July 19, 1954, in LaGrange, to the late Thomas Hershel Bailey and Sara Helen Yarbrough.  He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1972.

Michael Gene Hogan

Mr. Michael Gene Hogan, 67, of Ellijay, passed away peacefully Saturday May 16, 2020, at his home with his family by his side. He was the son of Virgil Luther and Doretta Maney Hogan who preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by daughter, Diannah Lynn Hogan, June 5, 1994.

Alan Dale Schoeneman

Mr. Alan Dale Schoeneman, 66, of Ellijay, died Sunday, May 17, 2020. He was born Feb.  23, 1954, in Defiance, Ohio, to Peggy Lou Worthington Schoeneman and the late Edward Schoeneman. He was a veteran serving with both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corp.

Dale L. Hunter

Mr. Dale L. Hunter, 58, of Ellijay, died Friday, May 8, 2020. He was born Aug. 15, 1961, in Rock Hill, S.C., to the late Tom and Lola Mooney Hunter. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, and Gainesville Tech, and was employed by Excel Technologies. He was a member of Ellijay Church of Christ.

Carlton L. Hughes

Mr. Carlton L. Hughes, 65, of Chatsworth, died Thursday, May 7, 2020. He was born June 16, 1954, in Copperhill, Tenn., to the late Paul and Rosie Ray Hughes. He worked in the poultry industry and was a member of New Vision Tabernacle Church.

Lawrence ‘Lonnie’ Frank Reece

Mr. Lawrence (Lonnie) Frank Reece, 63, of Dalton, died Monday, May 4, 2020. He was born May 26, 1956, in Murphy, N.C., to Margaret Reece and the late Frank Reece. He was of the Christian faith.  He graduated from Murphy High School, class of 1974.  He went to Tampa, Fla.
