Billy David Parks

Billy David Parks, 67, went home Saturday, June 6, 2020, at his home in Homerville. Born in Jasper, Dec. 2, 1952, he was raised in Ellijay.  He was an industrial mechanic and millwright for 40 years, at Atlantic Steel in Atlanta and Gerdau Ameristeel in Cartersville.

Tracy Townsend

Mr. Tracy Townsend, 56, of Hampton, went home to be with the Lord Saturday morning, June 6, 2020.  He was born Thursday, February 13, 1964, in Marietta, to Steve and Linda Brackett Dotson.

William Martin Bretherton

William Martin Bretherton, 91, of Jasper, died June 1, 2020, at Pruitt Health Care in Jasper.  He was born Nov. 5, 1928, to John and Marion Bretherton in Philadelphia, Pa. He is preceded in death by wife, Beverly Bretherton; and brother, John P. “Jack” Bretherton.

Mr. Edward Wesley McKibbin, 84, passed Thursday, April 2, 2020, at his residence peacefully with his loving and devoted wife by his side.  He was born June 15, 1935, to the late Charles Hartzell and Grace Ruth (Wilson) McKibbin in Riceville, Iowa.

Donald David Quarles Sr.

Donald David Quarles Sr., passed away peacefully at his home in Lee’s Summit, Mo., Saturday, May 23, 2020, at the age of 86.  He was born Feb. 2, 1934, in Ellijay. He lived in Missouri for 50 years.  He is preceded in death by parents, Earl and Lucille Quarles.

Kenneth Grizzle

Mr. Kenneth Grizzle, 74, of Ellijay, died Friday, May 22, 2020. He was born March 9, 1946, in Canton, to Wesley John and Leo Millwood Grizzle.  He was a carpenter and brickmason and was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church.  He is preceded in death by daughter, Kristy Grizzle Mead.

Mr. Ambrose V. Teague, 63, of Chatsworth, died Tuesday, May 26, 2020. He was born Sept. 11, 1956, in Gilmer County to Dewey and Maggie Dotson Teague. He worked as a concrete finisher.

Colonel Oscar Cuthbert Poole, 90, of Ellijay, died Sunday, May 31, 2020.  He was born April 29, 1930, in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., to Oscar Marie and Sallie Jeanette Cain Poole.
