Mr. Steven J. Stover, 42, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020. He was born May 7, 1977, in Pickens County, to Tony Stover and Ruby Craig Stover. He worked as a janitor and was a member of Cartecay Baptist Church.

Mrs. Kathleen Woodring Martin

Mrs. Kathleen Woodring Martin, 87, of Ellijay, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, April 21, 2020.  She was born April 1, 1933, to Lee Terrell and Pearl Mae Key Woodring in the front bedroom of their home in the New Hope Community in Ellijay. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmama.

Winifred “Winnie” Sabo, 100, of East Ellijay, passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family surrounding her Sunday, April 26, 2020.  She was born in Portland, Ore., March 20, 1920, to Frederick Lee Burlingame and Irene Clausius Burlingame.

Mrs. Suzanne ‘Sue’ Adkinsson

Mrs. Suzanne “Sue” Adkisson, of Fayetteville, died April 22, 2020.  She was born in the Pleasant Hill community of Ellijay in 1940 and graduated from Brown High School in Atlanta in 1957.  She is preceded in death by son, George Matthew Adkisson; parents, Homer H.

Ms. Audrey Jane Tarr, 90, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020, at her residence.  She was born Dec. 14, 1929, to Edward and Doris Whisson, in Chicago, Ill.

Ms. Viola Thelma Townsend Martin

Ms. Viola Thelma Townsend Martin, 88, died Thursday, April 16, 2020, at her residence.  She was born June 26, 1931, to the late Arthur and Millie Dotson Townsend, in Dalton, and was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by sons, Johnny and David Martin; sisters, Zelma T.

Mr. Jerry Lee Nelson, 72, of Blue Ridge, died Saturday, April 18, 2020. He was born Nov. 14, 1947, in Gilmer County to the late James Herschel and Mae Dooley Nelson.   He worked as an associate with Food Lion.

Mrs. Shelia “Carole” Carder, 73, of Ellijay, formerly of Cumming, died Friday, April 17, 2020. She was born Aug. 10, 1946, to the late Lemuel Watson and Plassie Watson Williams. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Ducktown.
