Mr. Mack L McCollum Sr., 82, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, April 28, 2020. He was born Dec. 3, 1937, in Gilmer County, to Homer F. and Eddie Lyles McCollum. He was a truck driver. He is survived by children, Mack “Bo” McCollum Jr.

Mr. Charles L. Wilson Jr. entered into rest Wednesday, April 29, 2020, in Decatur. He is preceded in death by father, Charles L. Wilson; mother, Dorothy H. Wilson; and wife, Marie Hickingbottom Wilson.

Mrs. Gladys Davis Adams

Mrs. Gladys Davis Adams, 90, of Marietta, died Friday, April 24, 2020. She was a native and longtime resident of Ellijay. She worked with the Gilmer Extension Service for a number of years and also worked as a floral designer at Ellijay Florist part-time.

Eugene Anderson

Mr. Eugene Anderson, 88, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He was born May 10, 1931, in Gilmer County, to Fonnie and Bertha Fowler Anderson.  He was a graduate of Ellijay High School, class of 1949 and a farmer.

William Kenneth ‘Billy’ Garland

Mr. William Kenneth “Billy” Garland, 67, of Ellijay, died Thursday, April 30, 2020. He was born Jan. 14, 1953, in Gilmer County, to Kenneth and Willa Nell Henson Garland.  He was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1971, a poultry farmer and member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

Terrence ‘Terry’ Eugene Stanley

Mr. Terrence “Terry” Eugene Stanley, 67, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, April 22, 2020. He was born Feb. 27, 1953, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to Harris Eugene Stanley and Faye Harper Stanley.

Ms. Betty Jo James

Ms. Betty Jo James, 80, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, April 21, 2020. She was born Jan. 27, 1940, in Gilmer County, to Spence and Daisey Lilies Nichols. She was a seamstress and member of Calvary Way Baptist Church.

Mrs. Virginia Ann W right

Mrs. Virginia Ann Wright, 89, of Ellijay, died Sunday, April 19, 2020. She was born Dec. 6, 1930, in Union County, to  John Clifford and Eula Mae Dyer Addington.

Ms. Brenda L. Johnson

Ms Brenda L. Johnson, 71, of Blue Ridge, died Thursday, April 23, 2020. She was born March 11, 1949, in Gilmer County, to Newman and Ezza Bailey Johnson. She worked as a X-ray and lab tech in numerous hospitals for many years and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

Robert W. ‘Bob’ Smith Jr.

Mr. Robert W. “Bob” Smith Jr., 68, of Ellijay, died Friday, April 24, 2020. He was born Dec. 16, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Rev. Robert W. Smith Sr. and Dorothy Creasman Smith.
