Billy David Parks

Billy David Parks, 67, went home Saturday, June 6, 2020, at his home in Homerville. Born in Jasper, Dec. 2, 1952, he was raised in Ellijay. 

He was an industrial mechanic and millwright for 40 years, at Atlantic Steel in Atlanta and Gerdau Ameristeel in Cartersville.

He is preceded in death by father, Henry Parks; mother, Aimee Parks; brothers Henry Jr. and  Edward; and grandsons, Hagan Emory and Trey Parks.

He is survived by wife, Jennifer Parks; children, Joshua Parks, Tonya Parks, Katrina Barchus, Jesse  Parks, A.J. Parks and Billy Wight; grandchildren, Danielle Moss, Stone Parks, Maya Parks, Storm Parks,  Caitlin Emory, Hannah Parks, Lily Parks, Lucas Wight and Logan Wight; and siblings, Wallace Parks  (Carol), Jimmy Parks (Susan), Sue Walker (Robert), Peggy Mullins, Johnny Parks (Debbie) and Brenda 

Pylant (Ted). 

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2020, at Mt. Pisgah Church in Ellijay with the Rev. Brondy Davis officiating.
