Mr. James William “Jim”  Cantrell Jr., 59, of Acworth, died Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020. He was born Jan. 2, 1961, in Marietta. He worked in construction as a framer.  He is preceded in death by father, James William Cantrell Sr.

Philip H. Haner

Mr. Philip H. Haner, 76, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020. Most people knew him as Pete.  He was born March 12, 1944, in Madison, W.Va., to the late Clyde Lowell and Eleanor Harless Haner. He was the grandson of the late Dr. W. F Harless and Lucetta Kay Harless.

Mrs. Melba Milton Gibson

Mrs. Melba Milton Gibson, 93, of Ellijay, died Friday, Oct 2, 2020. She was born March 1, 1927, in Gilmer County, to the late Newman and Annie Brown Milton.

Hugh Cleveland Bishop, 93, husband of the late Louise Brumlow Bishop, died Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah. He was born in Twin City to Hugh Nash Bishop and Jewel Cowart Bishop.

Mrs. Sheila Elaine McCollum Jenkins

Mrs. Sheila Elaine McCollum Jenkins, 63, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2020. She was born Aug. 10, 1957, in Fulton County, the daughter of the late Homer and Helen Vick McCollum.  She worked in home health care and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Beatrice Hogan Callihan

Mrs. Beatrice Hogan Callihan, 69, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Sept. 20,2020. She was born Jan. 2, 1951, in Gilmer County, to the late Virgil and Doretta Maney Hogan. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by husband, Gary Callihan and siblings.

Mrs. Reba M. Charles

Mrs. Reba M. Charles, 81, of Blairsville, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2020. She was born Jan. 16, 1939, in Gilmer County, to the late Walter Ernest and Margaret Maggie Callahan Mull. She was retired from Kroger where she worked as a meat wrapper.

Little Abel Allen Robinson

Little Abel Allen Robinson, infant son of Nathan Robinson and Kayla Meissner, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2020. He was born June 10, 2019. He was an inspiration to every heart he touched or heard his name. He was our little heart warrior and the strongest little fellow we will ever know.

Jennifer D. Parks, of Homerville, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 19, 2020, at Assured Hospice in Cartersville. She was born Jan. 21, 1963, in Paris, France.  She is preceded in death by husband, Billy D. Parks; parents, Harry A. Beadle and Magdalena C.

Mrs. Patricia Gail Terry

Mrs. Patricia Gail Terry, 66, of Talking Rock, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2020, after an extended illness. She was born Aug. 23, 1954, in Marietta, to Gene Thomas and Jewell Elliot Roberts.  She loved her family and was an amazing cook.
