Mr. Casey Garcia, 32, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020.  He was born Oct. 31, 1987, to Eliseo E. Garcia and Margaret E. O’Connell, in Vero Beach, Fla.  He was a graduate of Vero Beach High School, class of 2006 and attended Indian River Community College. He was employed at Bank OZK in Ellijay.

Mr. Bobby J. Kendrick, 77, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020. He was born May 18, 1943, in Conasaga, Tenn., to the late John D. and Leomie Brooks Kendrick.  He was a veteran serving in the U.S.

Johnny H. Oliver Sr.

Johnny H. Oliver Sr., 85, of Jefferson, died Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020.  He was born July 3, 1935. He received his education at Gilmer County High School, was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in the Korean conflict.

Johnny E. Tanner

Mr. Johnny E. Tanner, 73, of Talking Rock, died Monday, Sept. 14, 2020. He was born June 23, 1947, in Murphy, N.C., to the late William Pence Tanner and Evelyn Young Tanner. He worked for Pickens County and was of the Baptist faith.

Nancy Louise Hamil

Nancy Louise Hamil, 78, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020.  She was born Feb. 15, 1942, to the late Maynard O’Neal and Louise (Murphy) Hamil, in LaGrange.  She was a member of the Cartecay United Methodist Church and was a Troup County, class of 1960 graduate.

Sandra Louise Masterson Click

Sandra Louise Masterson Click, 73, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020.  She was born July 25, 1947, in Anderson, Ind., to Joseph Edward and Frances Louise Land Masterson.  She graduated from Shenandoah High School in Middletown, Ind., and was a member of Orchard Church in Ellijay.

Johnnie Mae McClanahan

Johnnie Mae McClanahan, 85, went home to the Lord Saturday, April 18, 2020, at a hospital in Macon. She was born Sept. 25, 1934, in Little Rock, Ark., to the late John William Mills and Stella Mae Bingham Mills. She married Barron Eugene Morgan in Little Rock, Ark.

Margaret Elizabeth Packer

Our family is sad to announce that our beloved daughter, sister, grand-daughter and aunt Maggie passed away on Monday, Aug. 31, 2020, after a brief, but aggressive illness. Margaret Elizabeth Packer was born in Athens Dec.

JC Sanford

JC Sanford, 78, died Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020.  He was born July 2, 1942, to the late JB Sanford and Stella Sluder, in Ellijay. He graduated from Gilmer High School, was a self-employed contractor and served as a former Gilmer County Commissioner.

Mildred ‘Jeri’ Pack

Ms. Mildred ‘Jeri’ Pack, 80, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020. She was born June 22, 1940, in Fannin County, to the late Willard Garren and Estelle Green. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was employed by the United Community Bank.
