Philip H. Haner

Mr. Philip H. Haner, 76, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2020.

Most people knew him as Pete. 

He was born March 12, 1944, in Madison, W.Va., to the late Clyde Lowell and Eleanor Harless Haner. He was the grandson of the late Dr. W. F Harless and Lucetta Kay Harless. 

He was a retired bus driver for the Logan Elm School District in Circleville, Ohio.

He survived by wife of 47 years, Helen.  

He and Helen moved to Ellijay in  2005, and were members of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Cherry Log, where Pete was the former treasurer.

When Pete walked into the room, he brought a smile to every face.  

A memorial service will be planned later in his honor.
