Mrs. Nolia L. Brown Simpson

Mrs. Simpson was born Oct. 6, 1939, in Habersham County, to the late Noah and Belle Savage Norton. She worked in the food service industry and was a member of Sunlight Baptist Church.  She is preceded in death by husbands, Leon Charles Brown and Stanley Simpson.

Lloyd Steven Stover

Mr. Lloyd Steven Stover, 83, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020. He was born March 10, 1937, in Gilmer County, to the late Jim and Effie McClure Stover. He worked in the lumber industry and was of the Baptist faith.

The Rev. Robert Lee Boling

The Rev. Robert Lee Boling, 82, of Louisville, formerly of Jasper, died Monday, Aug. 17, 2020. He was born March 30, 1938, in Pickens County, to the late Thurston and Sallie Alma Morris Boling. He was a farmer and member of Free Hope Baptist Church.

Steve Mabry

Mr. Steve Mabry, 77, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2020. He was born April 17, 1943, in Pickens County to the late Ernest Mabry and Edna Spears Mabry. He was in the National Guard, a deacon of Ebenezer Baptist Church and worked for Bent Tree as a water plant operator.

Carl Branston Grant Jr.

Carl Branston Grant Jr. 58, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2020, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton.   He was born in Ellijay,  August 7, 1962, to the late Rev. Carl Branston Grant Sr. and the late Evelyn Davis Grant. He is preceded in death by sister, Allegra Miller.

Linda Gail Henson

Linda Gail Henson, 72, of Powder Springs, died Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2020. She was born Jan. 24, 1948, in Gilmer County. She was a graduate of Gilmer High School, class of 1966 and worked as an office manager for United Distributors.

Mrs. Pauline ‘Polly’ Abercrombie Pulliam

Mrs. Pauline “Polly” (Abercrombie) Pulliam, 91, of Evans, died Friday, Aug. 14, 2020.  She was born April 5, 1929, to the late Robert and Maudie (Richards) Abercrombie, in Ellijay. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church of Ellijay and retired as a seamstress from Arrow Shirt Company.

Geneva Langley Hyatt

Geneva Langley Hyatt, 95, died Aug. 2, 2020, at her home in Marietta. She was born Dec. 16, 1924, in Ellijay, to the late Avery Langley and Pluma Tankersley Langley. She loved cooking and always had the best pound cakes.

Mrs. Erica Ramirez

Mrs. Erica Ramirez, 45, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020. She was born Feb. 24, 1975, in Guerrero, Mexico, to Amelia Glalindez and the late Fortino Ramirez. She worked in housekeeping and attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness.

Clifford Lee Garland

Clifford Lee Garland, 83, of Chatsworth, died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020. He was born July 16, 1937, to the late Clifford and Earma Pearl (Coffee) Garland, in Whitestone. He was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church, in Chatsworth. He retired from Candelwick Yarns after 30 years.
