Ruby Marie Ward Chapman, 78, died Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020.  She was born Oct. 10, 1942, in Cherry Log, to the late Chester Arnold and Dorothy Marie Holloway Ward. She was a member of the Boardtown Church of Christ.

Adolph William Bogun, born Jan. 18, 1948, went home to be with the Lord Monday, Oct. 19, 2020. He is preceded in death by mother, Lorraine Delaney Bogun; father, Adolph Bogun; brother, Steven; and nephew, Clint Wooley.

Mrs. Veronica “Ronnie” Nunley, affectionately known as “Busha” to family, 77, of Ellijay, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2020.  She was born Sept. 23, 1943, to the late Florian and May Dolatowski, in Chicago, Ill.

Shawn Kathryn Joseph

Shawn Kathryn Joseph, of Ellijay, passed away at Northside Cherokee Hospital Canton, Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, following a brief illness. She is preceded in death by sister, Debi Holland; stepfather John Raymond Ojala; half brother, Randy Holland; and twin sister, Rebecca Joseph.

Mrs. Florence Altha Sanford

Mrs. Florence Altha Sanford, 92, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020. She was born Aug. 14, 1928, in Gilmer County to the late Luther Parks and Mary Sluder Parks.  She worked in the textile industry for many years and was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Johnny Warren Parks

Mr. Johnny Warren Parks, 64, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020. He was born Nov. 8, 1956, in Gilmer County, to the late Edwin and Fair Mooney Parks.  He worked in the textile industry and was a member of Harvest Missionary Church.

Mrs. Opal Lowman Chastain

Mrs. Opal Lowman Chastain, 96, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020. She was born May 19, 1924, in Gilmer County, to the late Angus Morrison and Laura Ardalla Recce Lowman.  She was a retired inspector for a manufacturing company and was of the Baptist faith.

Dr. George D. Barnett Sr.

Dr. George D. Barnett Sr., 75, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 2020.  He was born July 22, 1945, in Birmingham, Ala., to the late Oral George and Sybil Elizabeth (Ramey) Barnett.

William Render Robinson

Mr. William Render Robinson,  88, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2020. He was born May 10, 1932, in Troup County, to the late Archie Monroe and Jessie Strickland Robinson.  He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, worked in maintenance and attended Macedonia Baptist Church.

Barry Wayne Hamby

Barry Wayne Hamby, 64, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, in the home he shared with his brother, Roger. He was born Oct. 4, 1956, in Winston Salem, N.C. His mother, Carol Stanley Hamby and father, Paul Matthew Hamby loved and cared for him completely.
