Mrs. Pauline ‘Polly’ Witt Cochran

Mrs. Pauline “Polly” Witt Cochran, 93, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020. She was born July 17, 1927, in Polk County, to the late Herman W. Witt and Pluma Horn Witt. She worked in accounting for GE and Sears, and was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ.

John Coleman Hall

John Coleman Hall, 76, of Nashville, Ga., died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at Parkside Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Ellijay.  He was born Feb. 6, 1944, in Berrien County, to the late Leon and Louelle McKinnon Hall.

Mrs. Frances Louise Bramlett

Mrs. Frances Louise Bramlett, 84, of Ellijay, died Friday, Oct. 23, 2020, at Pruitt Health Care in Jasper.   She was born March 2, 1936, to the late Clifford and Ina (Duckett) Sprayberry in Pickens County. She is survived by husband of 65 years, Carl E. “Gene” Bramlett Sr.

Edwin Frank Plemons

Edwin Frank Plemons, 83, of Pelham, Ala., died Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2020, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Dalton, to Willard Plemons and Myrtle Kell Plemons, of Ellijay.

Mrs. Pauline Dale Fowler

Mrs. Pauline Dale Fowler, 87, of Ellijay died, Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020. She was born Feb. 19, 1933, in Gilmer County, to the late William and Mary Wilson Dale. She was a retired textile worker, homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Katherine Lewis Newlon

Mrs. Katherine Lewis Newlon, 92, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020. She was born May 13, 1928, in Chattanooga, Tenn., to the late Herbert Thomas and Vera Leone King Lewis.  She worked as an office manager for Bruce Newlon Co. Inc and was a member of the Ellijay Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

Ralph Leon Chancey

Mr. Ralph Leon Chancey, 89, of Cherry Log, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.  He was born April 26, 1931, to the late George Matthew and Hulda Lidora (Sisson) Chancey in Cherry Log.

Mrs. Willa Dean Petty

Mrs. Willa Dean Petty, 84, of Ellijay, died Monday, Oct. 12, 2020. She was born Jan. 22, 1936, in Gordon County, to the late Woodrow and Cora Hughes Stover. She was a graduate of Sanford High School in Florida, a homemaker and member of the Faith Chapel Church of God of Prophecy.

James William Harbin

Mr. James William Harbin Jr., 91, of Franklin, died Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020. He was born Nov. 13, 1928, to the late James William and Mattie Lee (Cook) Harbin Sr., in East Point.  He was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and was self-employed as an electronic technician in office systems.

Mrs. Nettie Ruth Corley

Nettie Ruth Corley, 76, of Talking Rock died Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020, at her home in Talking Rock.  She was born Feb. 11, 1944, to William and Ruth Hannah in Paulding County.
