Bernard Joseph Carr

Mr. Bernard Joseph Carr, 76, of Blue Ridge, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021. He was born in Pennsauken, N.J., March 23, 1944, to the late Bernard Carr Sr. and Edna Kelley Carr.  He is preceded in death by stepdaughter, Laurie Ollek.  He was a high school graduate and was retired from the U.S.

Michael Ellis Bean

Mr. Michael Ellis Bean, 70, of Ellijay, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2021.  He was born July 7, 1950, to the late Clarence Ellis and Sara Lee Tyler Bean, in Chicago, Ill.

Earlene Burgess McClure

Earlene Burgess McClure, 75, of the Tails Creek died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021.  She was born Sept. 23, 1945, to the late Willard Dorsey and Reba Lee Quarles Burgess in Ellijay. She was a member of Pleasant Gap Baptist Church and was retired from Thomas & Hall Pharmacy and Rite Aid Pharmacy.

Mrs. Linda Sue Bowling

Mrs. Linda Sue Bowling,  73, of Ellijay, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2021, at Parkside Nursing Home. She was born in Anderson, S.C., June 10, 1947, to the late Walter Lee Greene and Thelma Cromer Greene. She was a high school graduate, a homemaker and a member of East Ellijay Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bonnie Pierce

Mrs. Bonnie Pierce, 83, of Ball Ground, died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at The Retreat at Canton. She is preceded in death by husband, Billy Pierce; and great-granddaughter, Charlotte Wisor.

Hilda Ray Sanford

Hilda Ray Sanford, 65, of Talking Rock, went home to be with Jesus Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, after an illness. She was born May 15, 1955, in Ellijay to James and Ann Ray. Serving the Lord was her most important goal.

Sara ‘Sally’ Emily Daniels

Sara “Sally” Emily Daniels, 80, of Ellijay, died Monday, Jan. 25, 2021.  She was born July 22, 1940, to the late Weldon Marvin and Sarah Isabelle Hussey Anderson in Berkeley, Calif.

Howard Allen Grizzle

Mr. Howard Allen Grizzle, 77, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021. He was born in Gilmer County May 11, 1943, to the late Wesley Grizzle and Leo Harriett Millwood Grizzle.  He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church and was a retired logger.

Mrs. Joyce Lane DeWalt

Mrs. Joyce Lane DeWalt, 82, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021. She was born May 6, 1938, in Henry County, to the late William Thomas and Ruby Mills Lane. She worked as a secretary for Fulton County and was a member of the Harrison Road Baptist Church.

Everett Roy Ringstrom

Mr. Everett Roy Ringstrom, 77, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, surrounded by his family. He was born Oct. 3, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., to William and Doris Eychaner Ringstrom.  He married Mary Ann Watkins-Noonan Aug. 29, 1998, in Marietta.
