Mrs. Barbara Lee Thomason, 83, of Jasper, passed away Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Pruitt Healthcare in Jasper. She was born May 2, 1937, in Young Harris, to the late Charles Lee Shepard and Margaret Marie Shepherd (James) Reynolds. She is preceded in death by husband, Fred Thomason.

Kenneth Lesley Parks

Mr. Kenneth Lesley Parks, 62, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Gilmer County Sept. 16, 1958, to the late Burley Parks and Joan Thomas Parks.  He loved NASCAR, and he enjoyed working on cars, as well as buying and trading cars.

Mrs. Laney Plumley Barnett

Mrs. Laney Plumley Barnett, 80, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021. She was born in Gilmer County Sept. 26, 1940, to the late Kiser Plumley and Mattie Patterson Plumley. She was a member of Turniptown Baptist Church.

Michael Jason Hawthorne

Mr. Michael Jason Hawthorne, 49, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021.  He was born Dec. 27, 1971, to James Manuel Hawthorne and Catherine Corrine Seeby Jenkins in Austell. He always lived life to the fullest and enjoyed coaching football and baseball.

Mr. Robert Lee Kenney, 89, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at home with his family.  He was born Dec. 20, 1931, in LaGrange, to the late William Ernest and Sarah Inez McCray Kenney.

Hobert Newton Ralston

Mr. Hobert Newton Ralston, 86, of Ellijay, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Gilmer County Jan. 6, 1935, to the late George Ralston and Donzie Weaver Ralston. He was a high school graduate and operated Stanley’s Grocery Store for many years.

Mrs. Deborah Jean Barr

Mrs. Deborah Jean Barr, 65, of Ellijay, received her invitation to heaven Sunday, Feb. 21, 2021. She was born in Akron, Ohio, April 17, 1955. She was a proud member of the Eagle Mountain International Church in Newark, Texas.

Mrs. Mary Nell Troglin

Mrs. Mary Nell Troglin, 82, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at Parkside Nursing Home. She was born in Gilmer County April 8, 1938, to the late Guy Wallace Pierce and Cora Ann Silvers Pierce. She was retired from Gold-Kist and was a member of Berean Baptist Church.

Mrs. Eloise Hicks Pritchett

Mrs. Eloise Hicks Pritchett, 88, of Ellijay, went home to be with our Lord Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021.   She was born Sept. 21, 1932, to the late William Roy and Ellen Louise Hicks in Cumming. She was a 1950 graduate of Gilmer High School.
