Mr. Michael Ellis Bean, 70, of Ellijay, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2021.
He was born July 7, 1950, to the late Clarence Ellis and Sara Lee Tyler Bean, in Chicago, Ill.
He was of the Church of Christ faith and had retired from his career as a senior contract manager at Cleveland Electric in Atlanta in 2014. During that time, he volunteered as a DJ at WRFG, hosting the Friday edition of “Good Morning Blues.”
In addition, he was a highly-respected blues guitarist, having played in many venues around Atlanta and Ellijay.
He is preceded in death by daughter, Samantha Bean.
He is survived by wife, Allison Ann Turner Bean, of Ellijay; stepsons, Brian C. Turner, of Marietta, Aaron T. Roth, of Atlanta; niece, Debbie Taylor; nephew, Steven Rickman; sister, Patsy Bean Rickman; brother-in-law, Charles Rickman, of Columbia, Ky.
The memorial service is to be announced.
