Mrs. Joyce Lane DeWalt, 82, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2021.
She was born May 6, 1938, in Henry County, to the late William Thomas and Ruby Mills Lane. She worked as a secretary for Fulton County and was a member of the Harrison Road Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, Bruce “Kermit” DeWalt; son, Rex Teal; and great-grandson, Dakota Sanders.
She is survived by son, Steve Teal, of Newnan; daughters, Vickie Posey, of Buchanan, Carol Bailey, of Griffin; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Glen Arnold officiating.
Interment will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, 2021, in the Holly Hills Cemetery in Fairburn.
The family will meet with friends Wednesday, Feb. 3, 2021, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the funeral home.
