Mrs. Charlotte Whitaker Dickey

Mrs. Charlotte Whitaker Dickey, 85, of Ellijay died at her residence Sunday, April 4, 2021. She was born June 16, 1935, in Gilmer County, to the late Cecil Whitaker and Oveline Norton Whitaker.  She was a graduate of Pickens Tech, and a member of the East Ellijay Baptist Church.

Jimmy Ray Southern

Mr. Jimmy Ray Southern, 70, of Ellijay, died Friday, April 9, 2021, at Northside Cherokee Hospital. He was born in Gilmer County Jan. 25, 1951, to the late Eulous Southern and Lemma Bearden Southern.  He was a retired lineman and member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Donald Ray Goodman

Mr. Donald Ray Goodman, 76, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at his residence in Ellijay. He was born in Tracy City, Tenn., to the late Robert Dillion Goodman and Anita Parmley Goodman.

Mrs. Lorena Mullins Keener

Mrs. Lorena Mullins Keener, 81, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, March 30, 2021. She was born in Talking Rock March 12, 1940, to the late William Mullins and Jessie Wilson Mullins.  She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Mrs. Marilyn J. Meyer Seiler

Mrs. Marilyn J. Meyer Seiler, 97, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, after a brief illness.   She is preceded in death by husband, Chuck; and sons, Chip and Bill. She is survived by grandson, Evan Seiler. She was born in Terre Haute, Ind., Feb.

Ms. Vanetta S. Senerchia

Ms. Vanetta A. Senerchia, 73, died Thursday, March 25, 2021. She was born in Hollywood, Fla., to the late Morgan Stroud and Annie Jill Stroud. She was a housewife and resided in the Big Creek community of Gilmer County.

Mrs. Ella Mae Chapman Weaver

Mrs. Ella Mae Chapman Weaver, 81, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Gilmer County Nov. 21, 1939, to the late Edward Chapman and Essie Mae Rogers Chapman. She was retired from Aladdin Carpet and was a member of River Hill Baptist Church.

William Eugene ‘Gene’ Warren

Mr. William Eugene “Gene” Warren, 84, of Ellijay, died Saturday, March 20, 2021.  He was born Oct. 13, 1936, in Gilmer County, to Arthur and Mamie Warren.

Louella ‘Lucy’ Brookshire Payne

Louella “Lucy” Brookshire Payne, 89, of Marietta, died Sunday, March 21, 2021.  She was born May 2, 1931, to the late Luther Ervin and Vina Odell Stamey Brookshire, in Ellijay. She worked for Bell South Telecommunications for 40 years.

Tyler Thomas Lacy

Mr. Tyler Thomas Lacy, 29, of Acworth, died Friday, March 26, 2021, at Hamilton Medical Center. He was born in Fulton County Nov. 1, 1991, to the late Robert Thomas Lacy Jr. and Tammy Lynn Wright Lacy.  He was a member of Welcome Valley Baptist Church and was employed in the construction industry.
