Winifred ‘Winnie’ Sabo

Winifred “Winnie” Sabo, 100, of East Ellijay, passed away peacefully in her home with her loving family surrounding her Sunday, April 26, 2020. 

She was born in Portland, Ore., March 20, 1920, to Frederick Lee Burlingame and Irene Clausius Burlingame. 

She is preceded in death by children, Benny Davis, Bobby Davis and Jon Odegaard; and brother, Fred Lee Burlingame Jr.

She is survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, niece and nephew. 

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all of her friends and caregivers in Ellijay. 

Her wish was to make it to her 100th birthday and still be living in her own home, she achieved both.        

A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
