Mrs. Suzanne “Sue” Adkisson, of Fayetteville, died April 22, 2020. 

She was born in the Pleasant Hill community of Ellijay in 1940 and graduated from Brown High School in Atlanta in 1957. 

She is preceded in death by son, George Matthew Adkisson; parents, Homer H. and Ruby (Tankersley) Jackson; sister, Jane Madden; brother, Homer H. Jackson Jr.

She is survived by husband of 60 years, George H. Adkisson; daughter, Iris Harris and husband, John, of Fayetteville; son, Steve Adkisson and wife, Joy, of McDonough; grandchildren, Phillip Harris and wife, Gaela, George Harris, Keeley Adkisson, Alana Adkisson and Amelia Adkisson; great-grandchildren, Tripp Harris and Quinn Harris. 

Due to current public health concerns, a private graveside service for immediate family will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay.
