Eugene Anderson

Mr. Eugene Anderson, 88, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020.

He was born May 10, 1931, in Gilmer County, to Fonnie and Bertha Fowler Anderson. 

He was a graduate of Ellijay High School, class of 1949 and a farmer. He was a member and deacon of Macedonia Baptist Church, ordained in 1966, and was a member of the Oak Bowery Lodge #81 F&AM for 50 years.

He is preceded in death by son, Wayne Anderson.

He is survived by wife of 70 years and 11 months, Johnnie Faye Pettit Anderson; son-and daughter-in-law, Wallace and Gail Anderson, of Ellijay; grandchildren and spouses, Richard and Justine Anderson, of Snellville, Latitia and Tom Santosky; great-grandchildren, Archer and Corbin Anderson.

Due the COVID-19 pandemic, for the protection of friends and family, a private graveside service was held in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Billy Cantrell officiating. 

Music was by Sharon and Darrell Rogers. 

Pallbearers were Dennis Ralston, Steve Ralston, George Ralston, Lee Parks, Darryl Jones and Wayne McClure.
