Mrs. Martha Ann Segars Chastain, 92, of Ellijay, peacefully entered into eternal life with her Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, She was born Jan. 21, 1929, in Sylvester to the late Thera Segars and Florence Hutcherson Segars.

Mrs. Rilla Raye Chastain Welch Nelson

Mrs. Rilla Faye Chastain Welch Nelson, 85, of Ellijay, died at her residence  Friday, Oct. 15, 2021. She was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Gilmer County  to the late Harley Chastain and Myrtle Dotson Chastain. She was employed at Gold Kist and worked in the poultry business for many years.

Ms. Liecia Peeler Grizzle

Ms. Liecia Peeler Grizzle, 50, of Blue Ridge, died Monday, Oct. 11, 2021. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Brent Chatham and the Rev. Johnny Grizzle officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Joycene Mooney

Mrs. Joycene Mooney, 85, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021. She was born in Gilmer County Dec. 14, 1935, to the late Joseph Stover and Lelia Cantrell Stover. She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

William Garry Mosley

Mr. William Garry Mosley, 64, of Woodstock and Ellijay, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021.   He was born Nov. 9, 1956, in Gilmer County, to William Everett “Bill” and Janis (Garland) Mosley.   His grandparents were Don and Esteen Mosley and Fin and Laura Garland.

Seth Edwin Weaver

Mr. Seth Edwin Weaver, 48, of Ellijay, died Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Gainesville Aug. 10, 1973, to Eddie and Mel Weaver. Mr. Weaver owned and operated County Pawn and Gun.

Joseph Nathaniel Patterson

Mr. Joseph Nathaniel Patterson, 45, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital. He was born in Gilmer County Dec. 28, 1975, to the late Jerry Patterson and Mildred Gillespie Patterson. He is preceded in death by brother, Wesley Patterson; and sister, Denise Griggs.

Mrs. Amy Beach Hendon

Mrs. Amy Beach Hendon, 47, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021. She was born in Copperhill, Tenn., Feb. 13, 1974, to George Junior and Carol Stiles Beach. She is preceded in death by father, George Junior Beach.

Mr. Johnny Blair, 76, of Mansfield, died Sunday, Sept. 26, 2021. Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2021, at 11 a.m. in the Yukon Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Hancock officiating. Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
