Mrs. Joycene Mooney, 85, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021.
She was born in Gilmer County Dec. 14, 1935, to the late Joseph Stover and Lelia Cantrell Stover.
She was retired from the textile industry and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, George Clifford Mooney; brother and sister-in-law, Marvin and Hazel Stover; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene and Milford Farist, and Eunice and Cleaborn Padgett.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews; brother and sister-in-law, Cleamon and Willa Mae Mooney; and sister-in-law, Pearl Mooney, of
Carrollton.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Scrougetown Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. John Reece officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, Oct. 23, from noon until 1:30 p.m.
