Mr. Joseph Nathaniel Patterson, 45, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2021, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.
He was born in Gilmer County Dec. 28, 1975, to the late Jerry Patterson and Mildred Gillespie Patterson.
He is preceded in death by brother, Wesley Patterson; and sister, Denise Griggs.
He worked as a security guard for over 20 years.
He is survived by daughters, Marina and Millie Patterson; brothers, Billy Gillespie (Ameris) and Eddie Patterson (Darlene); sisters, Tina Pendley (Hugh), Ramona Ledford (Eddie), and Talitha Rogers; nieces and nephews, Billy Gillespie Jr., Angelica Gillespie, Kyle Tatum, Chandler Tatum, Boaz Gillespie, Nathan Ledford, Nicole Ledford and Lydia Rogers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, in the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Benjamin Mock officiating.
Interment will be in the Coosa United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Nathan Ledford, Hugh Pendley, Kyle Tatum and Chandler Tatum.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 14, 2021, at the funeral home.
