Michial Lawrence McCorkel

Mr. Michial Lawrence McCorkel, 53, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021. He was born Oct. 30, 1968, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Freddie Lawrence and Theresa Mae (Blackburn) McCorkel. He was a painter by trade and an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He is preceded in death by daughter, Amber McCorkel.

William Donald Reece

Mr. William Donald Reece, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.   He was born May 23, 1933, in Gilmer County  to the late Oscar and Ora Evans Reece. He is preceded in  death by 7-year-old sister, Charlotte, and infant brother, Billy.

Mrs. Wilma Sumner Smith, 70, of Ellijay went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, with her loving family by her side. She was born March 23, 1951, in Macon, to the late Irvin and Virginia Godwin Sumner. She was a homemaker and member of the Grace Baptist Church.

Mrs. Elaine Hall Holloway, 80, of Blue Ridge, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Moultrie, July 15, 1941, to the late Earl Hall and Elizabeth Jones Hall. She was retired from Lance Trucking, was a job steward and was a member of Boardtown Church of Christ.

Mrs. Betty Underwood Wyatt

Betty Wyatt of Brevard, N.C. was 88 years old when she went home to be with the Lord Jesus Oct. 8, 2021. She was a Georgia girl. She was born in Lindale to the late Clyde L. Underwood and Leslie Weaver Underwood. She grew up in the mountains of north Georgia, in Cherry Log.

Ms. Betty Nadine Troglin Ray, 66, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021. She was born April 25, 1955, in Gilmer County, to the late Henry Troglin Jr. and Dennie Mae Barnes. She owned and managed several convenience stores over the years.

Mrs. Floy Smith Henderson, 80, of Gilmer County, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021. She loved everyone she met dearly and especially her family. She loved the Lord and wanted everyone to know him. She was born in Gilmer County Aug. 28, 1941, to the late Howard Smith and Clara Belle Keener Smith.

Mrs. Sharlene Weaver Mulkey, 73, of Ellijay, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2021, at her residence. She was born in Gilmer County Feb. 18, 1948, to the late Jim Weaver and Gertie Cantrell Weaver and was a member of River Hill Baptist Church.
