Mrs. Floy Smith Henderson, 80, of Gilmer County, died Saturday, Nov. 27, 2021.
She loved everyone she met dearly and especially her family. She loved the Lord and wanted everyone to know him.
She was born in Gilmer County Aug. 28, 1941, to the late Howard Smith and Clara Belle Keener Smith.
She is preceded in death by sister, Estelle Teems; and brothers, Marvin Smith, CL Smith and Edward Smith.
She is survived by husband, Hoyt Henderson; sister, Wilma Lee Chastain, of Ellijay; son, Dwight (Harmony) Henderson; daughters, Chastity (Michael) Prather and Hope Henderson, all of Jasper; grandchildren, Cori Henderson, Titus (Marion) Henderson, Mya (Breier) Sanders, CJ Prather and Devin Henderson; and great-grandchildren, Breyden Millsapps, Breylee Millsapps, Rowan New, Andi New, Eva Henderson, Uriah Henderson and Eila Henderson.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021, from Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Rev. Wallace Parks and the Rev. Danny Townsend officiating.
Interment was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Titus Henderson, Devin Henderson, Breyden Millsapps, Breier Sanders, Ed Teems, Jim Bob Smith, Chris Chastain and Jeremy Millsapps.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
