Mrs. Wilma Sumner Smith, 70, of Ellijay went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 23, 1951, in Macon, to the late Irvin and Virginia Godwin Sumner.
She was a homemaker and member of the Grace Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family and her fur babies.
She is survived by husband, Terry Smith; son, Micah McElroy (Amanda); daughters, Summer Sergent, Janet Napolitano; brother, Gene Sumner (Joyce), of Vero Beach, Fla.; sisters, Margaret Webb, of Jacksonville, Fla., Charlotte Thompson, of Haines City, Fla.; grandchildren; Joseph Heddon and Kyle Napolitano.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, from the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Luke Logan to be officiating.
Interment was in the Yukon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Keith Brockman, David McKee, Fred Fortune, John Williams, John Jennings and Larry Rickabaugh.
Donations can be made to any cancer society in memory of Mrs. Smith.
Bernhardt Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
