Mrs. Charlotte Whitaker Dickey, 85, of Ellijay died at her residence Sunday, April 4, 2021.
She was born June 16, 1935, in Gilmer County, to the late Cecil Whitaker and Oveline Norton Whitaker.
She was a graduate of Pickens Tech, and a member of the East Ellijay Baptist Church. She loved her family and she loved the Lord.
She is preceded in death by husband, H.C. Dickey.
She is survived by daughters, Gail Callahan of Ellijay, and Cindy Painter, of Crestview Fla.; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Jerry Downs, of Snellville; four grandchildren, Candy Carringer, Mark Garner, Veronica Kincaid, Nicole Reed; seven great-grandchildren; and several loving nieces and nephews.
Private graveside services were held Tuesday, April 6, 2021, from the East Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Fields officiating.
Music was by Eva Reece.
Pallbearers were Cole Farist, Caileb Reed, Steve Fields, Ben Teague, Tony Whitaker and Eric Barclay.
