She was born in Terre Haute, Ind., Feb. 10, 1924, to the late Walter and Barbara Meyer. She graduated from Purdue University where she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.  Later, she was president of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Association in Wilmington, Del., and vice-president of the Alumni Association in Atlanta.

She developed lifelong friendships with her Kappa family.

She married Charles “Chuck” Seiler in 1950 and they had two sons, John “Chip” and William “Bill.”  The family settled in Atlanta after living in Delaware and Oklahoma.  They later retired to the mountains of Ellijay.  She enjoyed many years as a Realtor in Ellijay and was also very active in the community as founder of the Gilmer Garden Club, Chamber of Commerce volunteer, president of the Gilmer Arts and Heritage Association and founding member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

She and Chuck spent many years enjoying real estate development projects in and around Ellijay, as well as participating in various roles within the St. Luke’s church family.

Special thanks to the staff at Cameron Hall, Compassus Hospice, Seasons Hospice and numerous friends who offered their friendship, support and care during the past few years of her long and interesting life.

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will host a memorial service Sunday, April 11,  2021, immediately following the 9:30 a.m. service. Family and friends are asked to gather at the Memorial Garden for the service.
