Donald Ray Goodman

Mr. Donald Ray Goodman, 76, died Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at his residence in Ellijay.

He was born in Tracy City, Tenn., to the late Robert Dillion Goodman and Anita Parmley Goodman. He attended Berry College,  was drafted into the United States Army in 1966, during the Vietnam War, and was honorably discharged in 1972. 

He was past Master of the Pickens Star Masonic Lodge #220, was a member of the Christ Church Episcopal in Tracy City, Tenn., and was employed by Lockheed as a structural electrician.

He is preceded in death by sister, Margaret Ann; and brother, Robert Keith.

He is survived by wife, Patricia Goodman; son and daughter-in-law, Troy and Sherri Goodman; stepchildren, Brian (Tonya) Hensley and Bonnie Hensley; brother and sister-in-law, Carl Wayne and Hilary Goodman, Paul Alan Goodman; brother-in-law, Richard Gipson; sister and brother-in-law, Linda Sue Young and Bill Young; grandchildren, Clare Goodman, Ruby Grace Goodman, Riley Hensley, Cooper Hensley, Robyn Spring and Aiden Spring; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, April 12, 2021, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with funeral rites by the Pickens Star Masonic Lodge #220 and the North Georgia Honor Guard. 

A private inurnment will be held Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, with military honors by the United States Army.

A visitation will be held Monday, April 12, 2021, from 1-3 p.m., at Bernhardt Funeral Home.
