Mrs. Ann Fields

Mrs. Ann Fields, 84, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Dewey Culver Garner and Lois Givens Garner. She was a retired secretary for the principal of the Bible Baptist Church and Day School in Savannah, and also taught Sunday school there for many years.

Mrs. Regina Connell Reist

Mrs. Regina Connell Reist, 68, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021. She was born May 5, 1953, in Orlando, Fla., to the late Buddy Connell and Eleanore Wise Connell. She was an assistant manager at ET-Services and was a member of the Good Samaritan Catholic Church.

Paula Kay McFadden

A memorial service for Paula Kay McFadden, daughter of the Rev. Paul and Evelyn Taylor, wife of Michael McFadden and a longtime resident of Ellijay will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Lee Roy Worley

Mr. Lee Roy Worley, 76, of Ellijay died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2021. He was born Dec. 25, 1944, in Ellijay, to the late William Taft and Mattie Pritchett Worley. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay and worked as a general laborer.

Mrs. Margaret Ann Smith Woodring

Mrs. Margaret Ann Smith Woodring, 84, of Ellijay, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at her residence. She was born Oct. 16, 1936, to the late Roy and Cleo Burrell Smith. She was a graduate of Ellijay High School. She was a nurse and worked at Gilmer Nursing Home for many years and  was a member of Mt.

Reynolds A. Hedland III

Mr. Reynolds A. Hedland III, 62, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021. He was born Sept. 11, 1958, in Hollywood, Fla.,  to the late Reynolds A. and Grace Mary Buckert Hedland Jr. He attended First United Methodist Church in Ellijay and retired from Broward County Florida school system.

Dudley Warren Maddox

Mr. Dudley Warren Maddox left this world peacefully Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021. Having lived his life as a faithful and dedicated follower of Christ, in the end, he met death as one meets a friend to embark upon an adventure together. In his own words, he was “excited to see what’s on the other side.

James Howard Bradley Sr.

Mr. James Howard Bradley Sr., 78, of Talking Rock, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at his residence. He was born in Gilmer County March 15, 1943, to Howard Q. Bradley and Lucille Holt Bradley. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War.

Robert Ramsey Nedblake

Mr. Robert Ramsey Nedblake, 78, of Ellijay, formerly of Gahanna, Ohio, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, after contracting COVID-19. He was an easy target for the virus having been diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis in May.

Roy Georgia Wright

Mr. Roy Georgia Wright, 86, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at his residence. He was born March 11, 1935, in Ellijay, to the late Robert E. and Della Azalee Ellis Wright. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church for over 50 years and was retired from Shaw Industries.
