Mrs. Margaret Ann Smith Woodring, 84, of Ellijay, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 16, 1936, to the late Roy and Cleo Burrell Smith. She was a graduate of Ellijay High School. She was a nurse and worked at Gilmer Nursing Home for many years and was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, W.R. Woodring; brothers, Arnold Lee Smith, Frank Smith and Jerry Smith; and sister, Brenda Smith.
She is survived by son, Woody Woodring, of Ellijay; sisters, Susie Smith and Dixie Smith, both of Ellijay, and Angie Harrell, of Harpers Ferry, W. Va; grandchild, Anna Audrey Woodring, of Athens; nieces, Amy Kiser and Kristen Smith; and nephews, Jason Smith and Nathan Smith.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Larry Stover officiating.
Interment was in the Oak Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
