Freddie Clarence Craig

Mr. Freddie Clarence Craig, 62, of Chatsworth, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at Hamilton Medical Center in Dalton. He was born Aug. 14, 1960, in Gilmer County, to the late Lewis Craig and Grace Rice Craig. He worked for the city of Chatsworth and was of the Baptist faith.

Laura ‘Laurie’ Marie Linville

Mrs. Laura “Laurie” Marie Linville, 61, of Talking Rock, passed away in the early hours of Friday, Sept. 30, 2022. She was born in Midlothian, Ill., and spent the majority of her life living in the beautiful north Georgia area of Talking Rock with her husband and sons.

Brenda Lee Negrete

Ms. Brenda Lee Negrete, 57, of Ellijay died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022, at her residence with loved ones by her side. She was born Sept. 20, 1965, in Gilmer County, to the late John and Pearl Vick Bradford. She was a member of the Flat Creek Baptist Church.

Thomas Stevens Gladin

Mr. Thomas Stevens Gladin, 77, of Talking Rock, died Sunday, Oct. 2, 2022. He was born June 30, 1945, in Sandersville, to  Giles S. and Bernice McAfee Gladin. He graduated from Washington County High School and earned a BBA in marketing from the University of Georgia.

Marlene Denise Leiter

Mrs. Marlene Denise Leiter, 68, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022. She retired from AT&T after 35 years of service. In her leisure time she enjoyed spending it with her grandson and taking him to the aquarium. She will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed.

Roland J. Fox

Mr. Roland J. Fox, 77, of Missouri died Monday, Sept. 19, 2022. He was born in Topeka, Kan., to the late Roland M. Fox and the late Anna L. Mares. He was an engineering associate. He is preceded in death by brother, Richard S. Fox. He is survived by wife, Paula Marie Rankin Fox; son, Andrew J.

Crystal Marie Johnson

Ms. Crystal Marie Johnson, 39, of Ellijay, died  Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022. She was born Dec. 17, 1982, in Indianapolis, Ind., to Robert Jerimiah Johnson and Ann Ellis Whitaker.

Kenneth Roger LeDoux

Mr. Kenneth Roger LeDoux, 81, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022, at his residence. He was born June 5, 1941, in Indian Orchard in Ludlow, Mass., to the late Adolph LeDoux and Mae Graveline LeDoux. He was a painter. He is preceded in death by brother, Rodger LeDoux.

John Allen Higgins Sr.

Mr. John Allen Higgins Sr., 84, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022, at Parkside Nursing Home. He was born Sept. 6, 1938, in Miami, Fla., to the late Joseph and Katherine Felton Higgins. He worked in the Union as a sheet metal worker for the majority of his life.

Gary Waldon Beaver

Mr. Gary Waldon Beaver, 83, of Acworth, died Friday, Sept. 16, 2022. He grew up in Ellijay and graduated from Gilmer County High School in 1957.  He loved working on and fixing clocks, and he loved cars and animals. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Acworth.
