Gilmer man charged with rape

A man is facing a rape charge in Gilmer County. Roscoe Benny Sharpe, Jr, 53, was arrested and charged with rape by the Gilmer County Sheriff’s Office Feb. 5. The incident allegedly occurred in November 2020. Sharpe offered the alleged victim a ride in his van to meet a friend.

Caudell’s decades in education, community service remembered
