Trail fest on sure footing for weekend debut

After pressing the reset button in 2020 and 2021, a new festival centered around Gilmer County’s abundant outdoor recreation options gets moving this weekend. The Georgia Mountain Trail Fest unfolds Saturday, April  23, and Sunday, April 24, at the Talona Ridge RV Resort, 723 Highland Parkway.

Friends of the Gilmer Library invite public to Saturday meeting

It’s been a while, but the Friends of The Gilmer County Library will hold their first annual meeting in two years Saturday, April 23. The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held in the downstairs Anita Summers Discovery Space at the library located at 268 Calvin Jackson Drive.

(By APA) — Three local American Poolplayers Association members will have the opportunity to qualify for the Junior Championships. These junior players will be joining others from all over the country to compete in this event in one of three Skill Level Tiers.

A family literacy night will soon return to Huff-Mosley Memorial Stadium after a two-year absence. The event will take place Friday, April 29, from 6-8 p.m., at the Bobcat football stadium on the campus of Gilmer High School. Admission is free.
