Dr. Hal Fisher Stolz Sr.

Dr. Hal Fisher Stolz Sr., 85, of Ellijay, died Monday, Dec. 23, 2019.  He was born Nov. 21, 1934, in Columbia, S.C. He was a graduate of the Georgia Military Academy, class of 1952, and the University of Georgia Veterinarian School in 1958.  He retired honorably from the U.S.

John Henry Stephens

Mr. John Henry Stephens, 79, of Ellijay, died at his residence Friday, Dec. 20, 2019. He was born Nov. 27, 1940, in Atlanta, to the late Guice Henry Stephens and Mary Elizabeth Kennedy. He was a member of the Ellijay Church of Christ and worked in the grocery business his entire life.

Gregorio Landaverde Resendiz

Mr. Gregorio Landaverde Resendiz, 80, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019. He was born Nov. 17, 1939, in Huilotla, Mexico, to the late Alejandro Landaverde and Angelina Resendiz. He worked in farming and was a member of Good Samaritan Catholic Church.

Mrs. Garlene Vick Buckner

Mrs. Garlene Vick Buckner, 58, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2019. She was born May 21, 1961, in Gilmer County to the late Garvin Vick and Marlene Trammell Hendrix. She worked as an operator for Engineered Floors of Dalton and was of the Baptist faith.

Cody Wess Garland

Mr. Cody Wess Garland,  34, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019. He was born Feb. 13, 1985, in Pickens County, to Ben and Marianne Garland. He worked for North Georgia Millwright and was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

Huey Reed

Mr. Huey Reed, 72, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Dec.15, 2019. He was born March 25, 1947, in Dawson County, to the late Isaac and Imogene McClure Reed. He worked as a fence builder and was  a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Jerry D. DeBoard

Mr. Jerry D. DeBoard, 70, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019. He was born May 4, 1949, in Gilmer County, to the late Ernest and Reathel Stover DeBoard. He was employed by the Sisson Company as a truck driver.

James H. ‘Jimmy’ Sellers

Mr. James H. ‘’Jimmy” Sellers, 81, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2019. He was born Oct. 25, 1938,  in Cherokee County, to the late Paul and Mary Jo Ray Sellers.

Jason Wyatt Teem

Jason Wyatt Teem, 3 months old, passed away peacefully in his sleep Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019.  He is survived by parents Jareb and Ashley Teem, of Hardy, Ark.; paternal grandparents, Joey and Lisa Teem, of Hardy; maternal grandma, Rhonda Phillips, of Cabot, Ark.; maternal great-grandmother, Mary K.

Sadie Belle Parchia

Sadie Belle Parchia, 16, of Ellijay, formerly of Lithia Springs, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2019.   She was born March 31, 2003, in Atlanta, to the late Misty Mull and Earl Parchia III of Oakland, Calif. She was a student at Gilmer High School.
