Curtains go up on ‘hauntingly funny comedy’ this weekend

Gilmer Arts presents a laugh out loud stage comedy the weekends of Oct. 4-6, 11-13 and 18-20. Friday and Saturday shows begin at 7 p.m. Sunday matinées start at 2 p.m. All shows will be presented at the George Link Jr. Gilmer Arts Playhouse, located at 135 Dalton Street.

Dancing Goats Folkfest gets new location, activities

A folk art festival that’s become a popular attraction in the month leading up to the Georgia Apple Festival returns this year with new activities and a new location.  The third annual Dancing Goats Folkfest will take place Saturday, Sept. 28, and Sunday, Sept. 29, from 9-5 p.m. both days.
