Ellijay man dies in single-car accident
Last year’s Apple Festival Parade took place on a drizzly Saturday morning, with hundreds of people turning out for the festivities. As of press time, this year’s weather forecast is for a cool, clear morning.

The uniquely outfitted bicycle once ridden by the late RT Henson will be on display at the Gilmer Chamber’s Downtown Ellijay Welcome Center from Oct. 11-20. The lacquered bike is seen above next to a painting of Henson by artist Daniel Norris during a 2009 public tour of the artist and inventor’s equally unique Ellijay home.
