An Ellijay couple won’t be missing any episodes of “Ghosts,” a popular CBS sitcom still in its first season.
That’s because their daughter, Sheila Carrasco, is part of the ensemble cast that helped make “Ghosts” the fall 2021 TV season’s most-watched new comedy, according to CBS.

As of 6:00 p.m. today, Tuesday January 25, 2022, the Ellijay-Gilmer County Water & Sewerage Authority (Authority) is lifting the Boiled Water Advisory issued on Monday January 24, 2022. The Boil Water Advisory was issued due to a water main break on Legion Road in Ellijay.

The Ellijay-Gilmer County Water & Sewerage Authority is issuing a Boiled Water Advisory due to a water main break on Legion Road. The rupture to this water main disrupted water supply and/or caused water pressure in parts of the distribution system to drop to very low levels.

COVID leads to virtual learning

The Gilmer County School System has gone virtual.
The district keeps a constant tab on its positive COVID-19 cases, and those numbers began to climb for staff members. By last Friday, more than 60 staff members were absent and action needed to be taken.
