The Times-Courier, the newspaper of record for Gilmer County, is staying put in downtown Ellijay. The local newspaper will have the exact same entrance it has used for many years. However, since the Times-Courier no longer needed all of the available space, the building at 47 River St.

Fuller a winner in ‘bucket list’ Savannah 5K

A fleet-footed Ellijay native recently traveled south to Savannah to cross a challenging 5K off his bucket list. When race was done, Al Fuller had finished first in his age group.

Temporary moratorium on subdivisions for East Ellijay

East Ellijay has put a 180-day moratorium on plats for new subdivisions as the city’s zoning ordinance is reviewed and possibly updated.  East Ellijay City Councilmembers approved a resolution instating the moratorium when meeting last week.
