Mrs. Cheryl Chancey Smith, 70, of Ellijay, died Saturday, Dec. 31, 2022, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. She was born Oct. 18, 1952, in Blue Ridge, to the late Ralph Chancey and Irene Holloway Chancey. She was the valedictorian at Gilmer High School, class of 1970.
