Members of Ellijay Good Samaritan Catholic Church will hold a clothing and shoe sale outdoors in the grassy area beside the church’s social hall, Saturday, July 25, from 8:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

The Gilmer High School prom slated for Friday has been canceled. GHS made the announcement on its Facebook page Wednesday night. The school system has been in continual contact with local officials monitoring the COVID-19 pandemic.

Construction has progressed since the go-ahead was issued in January for the first phase of a 1,200-acre gated housing development off Highway 282 and Crossroads Church Road, confirmed the Gilmer County Planning and Zoning Office.
