Mr. Worth Eldon Patterson, 87, of Ellijay, died Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at his residence.
He was born in Polk County, Tenn., Sept. 6, 1933, to the late Ernest Patterson and Bertha Stephens Patterson.
He is preceded in death by wife, Mozelle Ledford Patterson; son, Edley Patterson; brother, Jerry Patterson; sister, Imogene Marlow; half-sisters, Sue Hightower, Rachael Hendricks, Ellen Tatum and Lavance Arp.
He was retired from Georgia Marble and was a member of Simmons Chapel Baptist Church.
He is survived by sons, Pete Patterson (Donna), of Ellijay, James Patterson (Julie), of Blue Ridge, Ricky Patterson, Billy Joe Patterson, Randy Patterson, John Patterson, and Eric Patterson (Becky), all of Ellijay; daughters, Patricia Scoggins, of Fairmount, Barbara Vick (Stanley), of Ellijay, Teresa Bonds (Ray), of Horeton, Ala., and Melissa Pittman (Donald), of Mineral Bluff; half-brothers, David Patterson, Danny Patterson and Paul Patterson; half-sisters, Corrine Parris and Laura Jane McClure; 35 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2021, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Dotson officiating.
Interment was in Yukon Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jason Patterson, Clay Patterson, Darrell Vick, Kevin Patterson, Jeremy Carver and Junior Pittman.
