William ‘Bill’ Loren Bancroft

Mr. William “Bill” Loren Bancroft, 77, of Ellijay, died Thursday, Dec. 15, 2022.

He was born Nov. 20, 1945, in Fitchburg, Mass., to the late Dallas Loren and Mildred Evelyn (Eriksson) Bancroft.

He was of the Lutheran faith and was a retired electrician at the Polk County School System in Florida and served honorably in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by wife of 35 years, Julie Virginia Bancroft; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Bancroft (Kirk Woodbury), of North Fort Myers, Fla., Karen and Carl Russell, of Tampa, Fla.; sons and daughters-in-law, William and Korin Bancroft, of Sanford, Maine, Daniel and Kelli Harrell, of Leicester, N.C.; grandchildren, Cameron Bancroft, Nathan Bancroft, Alyssa Bowlin, Vale Selbert, Lauren Bancroft, Evelyn Bancroft, Cooper Bowlin; brothers, Lawrence (Marcia) Bancroft, of Cape Coral, Fla., Brian Bancroft, of Cape Cod, Mass., Richard Bancroft, of Slaton, Texas, Patrick (Loretta) Bancroft, of Zephyrhills, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, 2023, at the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion with military rights from the North Georgia Honor Guard.

Interment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2023, at 11:30 a.m.
