Shirley A. Waters

Mrs. Shirley A. Waters 76, of Ellijay died Saturday, Aug. 20, 2022, at her residence with family by her side. She was born Feb.  24, 1946, in Ellijay, to the late Ed Adam Watkins and Edna Colley Watkins. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by husband, Glen Waters; and brother, Jerry Lee Watkins (JL).

She is survived by children, James Waters, Eddie and Tammy Waters, Johnny and Nancy Waters, Robert Waters, Cheryl Waters and Scott Smith and Keith Waters; grandkids, Karrie and Nathaniel Sandford, Courtney Phillips and Devon Morris, Megan and Josh Irvin, Ashley Waters and Ticie Benton, Cody and Amber Waters, Chris and Madison Waters, Brandon Shinafelt, Corey and Maddie Waters, Caitlen Troglin, Austin Waters and Kayla Waters; great-grandkids, Avery Sanford,  Anniston Sanford, CJ Phillips, Emmett Phillips, Charlieann Phillips, Bentley Irvin, Colten Irvin, Aiden Irvin, Graysen Irvin, Cayden Lamb, Piper Thomas, Everleigh Waters, Ellie Waters, Logan Waters, Roe Waters, Emma Waters, Izzy Hickman, Dallas Waters; sister-in-law, Geneva Watkins; and special friend, Debbie Baker Bailey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Fields and the Rev. Chad Kelly officiating. Interment will follow in the East Ellijay Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Waters, Eddie Waters, Robert Waters, Johnny Waters, Cheryl Waters and Keith Waters.
