Roy Lamar Casey

Mr. Roy Lamar Casey, 72, of Ellijay, died Friday, April 16, 2021. 

He was born Feb. 19, 1949, to the late Gordon Lamar and Birdie Mae Parks Casey in Ellijay. 

He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and retired from Gold Kist and Pilgrim’s Pride Poultry. 

He is survived by wife of 53 years, Syble Ann Casey; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Ann and James W. Johnson, of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Lawson Casey and Amanda Beaver, of Ellijay; grandchildren, Julie Ann Doss, Tommy Doss, Landon Earl Patterson, Brooklyn Mikaya Ann Casey, Jackson Alan Gordon Casey, great-grandchildren, Samuel Woodrow Doss, Sawyer James Doss, sister, Shirley Casey Arron, Harpers Ferry, Va., brothers, Leon and Brenda Casey, of Ellijay, Edward and Ann Casey, of Ellijay; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at the Logan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wallace Parks and the Rev. David Nicholson officiating. 

Music was by Ronald and Linda Hyde. 

Interment was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
