Rose Teresa McHan

Ms. Rose Teresa McHan, 69, of Ellijay, died Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

She was born Dec. 2, 1952, in Gilmer County, to the late Major Dupree and Lela Hicks Dupree. She was of the Baptist faith.

She is preceded in death by husband, Charlie Posey.

She is survived by daughter, Greta Posey, of Ellijay; brother, David Dupree, of Dalton; sister, Hilda Shoemaker, of Chatsworth; grandchild, Jerry Lowe; and great-grandchildren, Chloe Lowe and Jessie Lowe.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Grizzle officiating.

Interment followed in the Mountaintown Baptist Church Cemetery.
