Ronald Charles Duke Sr.

Mr. Ronald Charles Duke Sr., 71, of Ellijay, died Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2020. He was born Feb. 12, 1949, to the late Medford Carson and Inez V. (Rush) Duke, in Orlando, Fla. 

He was a member of First Baptist Church of Ellijay and was retired from Nalley Motor Trucks. 

He is preceded in death by son, Scott Brannon Duke. 

He is survived by wife of 50 years, Betsy (Dilbeck) Duke; sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald C. and Courtney A. Duke Jr., of Jefferson, Bryan Allen and Tammy Duke, of Acworth and Anthony Wayne Duke, of Ellijay; grandchildren, Tyler Duke, Delaney Duke, Chelsea Webber, Cameron Wilson, Sadie Wilson, Erin Wilson, Chandler Higa, Gavin Duke, Ella Duke and Bryson Duke; great-grandchildren, Emmett John Wilson and Wilson Scott Webber; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Danny Barge, of Grantville and Janice and Joe White, of Franklin; and brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Cathy Duke, of Villa Rica. 

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020, in the Logan Funeral Home Pavilion.

Interment was in Ellijay City Cemetery.
