Ronald ‘Bodie’ McCollum

Mr. Ronald “Bodie” McCollum, 36, of Ellijay, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2019.

He was born July 23, 1983, in Gilmer County to the late Ronald Lamar McCollum Jr. and Mary Ruth Mayfield. 

He worked for Southside Express Lube and was a member of the Pine Crest Baptist Church in McDonough. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Bernice Emma Davis, Monteal and Eugene Mayfield.

He is survived by sisters and brother in-law, Lori and James Grant, of Chatsworth, Stephanie McCollum, of Cherry Log; partner, Kassie Little, of Ellijay; stepchildren, Dalton Beavers and Desiree Beavers; special cousin, Corey Mayfield; uncles, Lonnie Fowler and Ricky Mayfield, both of Ellijay; aunt, Karen Slepp, of Ellijay; nephew, Jay Card; nieces, Briana Lawson and Kirsten Lee; and several other cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Community Bank (Tina Wright) in memory of Bodie McCollum to help with funeral expenses.
